The relevance of the Tondenhei in the colonization of Hokkaido is represented at Tonden History Museum. On the ground floor of the Museum is a showcase dedicated to Ueshiba Morihei. The Tondenhei were warrior farmers. Settlers sent by the Japanese government to Hokkaido to colonize it.
